Questions, answered

Good to know.

01When can I download the app?

AskSum is available now on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The Android listing is coming soon, and its download button will appear here when it is live.

02Is Smart available on Android?

Yes. Android and web run the same local deterministic Smart core, while Apple retains its verified native presentation and optional on-device prose.

03Does the app need an account?

No. Calculator and Smart work locally without an account. A magic-link account is optional for cloud history sync and web Pro billing.

04Does Smart send my questions to a remote AI service?

Verified calculation rules produce the answer. On supported Apple devices, optional enhanced prose uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models rather than a third-party AI account.

05How do cookies and ads work on the web app?

Essential storage keeps calculator features, security, and optional sign-in working. Free web-app pages can show Google banner ads; Google Privacy & Messaging provides consent, rejection, management, and revocation controls where required. Pro removes web-app ads.

06Which languages are supported?

English, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese are supported across the app and this website.

07Is this suitable for professional or safety-critical decisions?

It is a general-purpose calculation tool. Important financial, medical, engineering, or safety decisions should always be independently checked by a qualified professional.

A clearer way to calculate is here.
